Privacy & consent
What visitors see, what we record, and how marketing permission works.
Visitors stay anonymous
Viewing, tapping or scanning a card never creates a contact. We count visits without tracking cookies, using a hash that rotates daily and can't be linked across days. A visitor only becomes a contact by choosing to share their details or book a meeting.
Marketing consent is explicit
If you turn on the marketing checkbox on your form, visitors must tick it to opt in. We store the exact wording they agreed to, when and from which card. Exchanging details, saving your contact or booking a meeting is never treated as marketing consent.
- One-to-one relationship follow-ups go only to people who exchanged details with you
- Marketing campaigns go only to contacts who opted in
- Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes are honoured across the workspace
“Save contact” is a download
The Save contact button downloads a standard contact file (vCard). The visitor's phone decides what to do with it, so we never report that your card was saved to someone's address book.
Access and deletion requests
Workspace owners can export or delete a contact's data from the contact's page. If you're a visitor who exchanged details with someone, contact them directly, or send us a privacy request and we'll pass it on.
